Deer Haven Phase 1
Deer Haven Phase 1
Foxcroft Drive, Foxcroft Court, Fox Den Court, Quail Hollow

July 7, 2017 Construction Schedule

The contractor will be starting construction the week of July 10, 2017.  The beginning stages of this work will seem intermittent as minor utility work is being completed and curb sections are being replaced.  This work will last approximately 1 to 2 weeks depending on weather conditions.  The road pavement will remain intact for the duration of this work, but there will be equipment and barricades/barrels in the areas of curb replacement and utility work which will impede traffic.  Some driveway access may be limited for up to 3 days while the concrete is curing.  If this is the case, we will work directly with the property owner with notification and alternate accesses.

Foxcroft Court, a portion of Foxcroft Drive, and Quail Hollow Drive will have a full depth mill (all existing asphalt removed).  The remaining portion of Foxcroft Drive and Fox Den Court will have a partial depth mill (the top portion of the asphalt milled and crack filling).  The pavement milling is currently scheduled the week of July 19, 2017.  Once the pavement is removed, access will be maintained to your driveways on the gravel base or the partially milled pavement.  Milling operations will be followed by undercuts (digging out bad, soft stone base areas and replacing them with appropriate backfill to support the new pavement) in the full depth milling areas and crack filling in the partial depth milling.  In areas of full depth milling, this is then followed by grading operations to re-establish the crown (pitch) on the roadway.  These operations will take 1 to 2 weeks depending on weather conditions and the amount of undercuts.

The new asphalt will be placed in 2 layers for the full depth milled areas.  The binder (lower) asphalt course for the full depth milled areas is currently scheduled to begin the week of July 31, 2017.  The surface (finish) asphalt course will follow immediately upon completion of the binder course for all areas.  During this time, access to your driveways may be limited for short periods (perhaps 30 minutes to 1 hour) while the asphalt is placed and cooled.  The time to cool the asphalt is weather dependent so your access limit time may vary.  The contractor and our inspector will do their best to get access to your properties as soon as possible.

We will have full time inspection on this project.  The onsite inspector will be Rich Eberhardt, Ruekert Mielke.  He may be reached at 414-659-6145 for construction related questions.  You may also contact the City at 262-691-0804 with any questions or concerns.

August 3, 2017 Update
The weather has delayed much of the work.  The contractor is planning to begin working on Saturdays in order to catch up with the construction.  The manhole repair work will continue for the next week.  The road contractor is planning to begin grading this weekend or early next week.  The exact paving date is not scheduled.  We appreciate your patience while we continue with this project.
