Methods of Tax Payment

*IN PERSON AT THE CLERK/TREASURER’S OFFICE
Regular tax collection hours at the Clerk/Treasurer’s Office are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. up until January 31st, 2010, EXCEPT when we will be observing holiday hours which will be the following:Thursday, December 24th City Hall will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon, Friday, December 25th the offices will be closed, Thursday, December 31st City Hall will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon and Friday, January 1st the offices will be closed. The City Hall is located at W240 N3065 Pewaukee Road (Hwy 164 formerly known as CTH J).

DEPOSITORY BOX
You may also utilize the City Hall Depository at any time. It is located in the vestibule of the City Hall, accessed from the upper level. Payments deposited in the City Hall depository will be processed the next business day.

BY U.S. MAIL
For your convenience, your payments may be made by mail. Please tear off the top portion of your bill and use the enclosed green envelope. The address provided on this envelope is for TAX PAYMENTS ONLY. All payments must be postmarked on or before the date they are due to be considered paid on time. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your tax payment if you want a receipt mailed to you. Receipts are also available via the internet by going to http://www.waukeshacounty.gov. Click on the “Tax Listing” icon. You will then be able to search by either your tax key number or property address. Click on “View Tax Bill” at the top of the screen. All payments made will be listed towards the bottom of the screen.

• BY CREDIT CARD. Enjoy the convenience and flexibility of credit card payments for your taxes. The City of Pewaukee, in cooperation with Official Payments Corporation, offers the opportunity to pay taxes either by telephone (800) 272-9829 or via the internet www.officialpayments.com. You will need to know the City of Pewaukee’s jurisdiction code, which is 5871. Please note: credit card payments will not be accepted at City Hall. Official Payments Corporation will charge a nominal fee for this service as indicated in the chart below. Please note that this option is only available from December through January.
