THE RETURN OF ‘INVISIBLE’ ANNUAL STICKERS FOR WAUKESHA COUNTY PARKS AND LAKE ACCESS
2024 Annual Memberships On Sale Today
(Waukesha, WI) – Waukesha County Park System is excited to announce the return of “invisible” annual stickers for Parks and Lake Access annual memberships. Users of nine fee-based parks and four fee-based lake accesses can purchase memberships starting today and then enjoy the outdoors and pursue wellness through the remainder of 2023 and all of 2024.
“When the Waukesha County Parks team first considered the move to ‘invisible’ annual stickers, we were excited to offer the convenience of buy-from-anywhere memberships. Now, we’re just as excited about using the annual membership funds to continue to provide clean, safe facilities and future enhancements,” Waukesha County Parks & Land Use director Dale Shaver said.
How the system works:
- Just as in 2023, a 2024 Parks or Lake Access user no longer purchases an annual membership or daily permit at the facility’s entrance.
- Instead, a scanner at each facility entrance reads each vehicle license plate and automatically validates annual memberships / daily permits connected to that license plate.
- Within five days of their visit(s), users can purchase annual memberships and daily permits at www.WaukeshaCounty.gov/ParkEntry.
- Users are welcome to purchase in person with cash, check, or cards at the Waukesha County Courthouse in the Park System Main Office and at Retzer Nature Center during business hours.
- Efficiency and cost savings: Resources used on design, production, distribution, and tracking orders of annual stickers are now shifted to serve more customer needs and wants. This means clean, safe, open facilities, faster service, and better days in the park and out on the lake.
2024 Parks and Lake Access Annual Memberships go on sale Black Friday, November 24. Buy-Early Bonus: Memberships are valid instantly from date of purchase through December 31, 2024. Get started: www.WaukeshaCounty.gov/ParkEntry.
