[ARCHIVED] Groundbreaking Ceremony Set for Pewaukee’s First All-Inclusive Playground & Garrison’s Splash Pad

Groundbreaking Ceremony Set for Pewaukee’s First All-Inclusive Playground & Garrison’s Splash Pad

Pewaukee, WI – March 20, 2025 – The Pewaukee Parks and Recreation Department is thrilled to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for Pewaukee’s first all-inclusive playground and Garrison’s Splash Pad. The event will take place on April 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Pewaukee Sports Complex (N45 W23440 Lindsay Rd. Pewaukee), marking the beginning of a transformative project designed to bring children of all abilities together in a welcoming and engaging play environment.

This milestone project will ensure that children of all physical and cognitive abilities have a space to play, explore, and interact with their peers. The addition of Garrison’s Splash Pad will further enhance the recreational experience, offering a fun and accessible water play area for families to enjoy.

“We are beyond excited to bring this all-inclusive playground and splash pad to the Pewaukee community,” said Nick Phalin, Pewaukee Parks and Recreation Director. “This project represents our commitment to creating recreational spaces where every child feels welcome and included. It will be a fantastic addition to our parks system, and we can’t wait to see the joy it brings to families in Pewaukee.”

A significant contribution to this project comes from Rick Fuhry, a generous donor who made a heartfelt donation in memory of his nephew, Garrison. His support has been instrumental in making Garrison’s Splash Pad a reality “This splash pad will bring joy to kids and families throughout our community. Garrison really loved splash pads, as so many kids do. I’m proud to honor him with my contribution. I know that many will enjoy visiting Garrison’s Splash Pad for years to come.”

The public is invited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate this exciting new development and learn more about the project. Local officials, project donors, and community members will come together to mark this special occasion.
