Spring Hydrant Flushing – April 21 to May 30
Spring hydrant flushing will take place on weekdays from April 21 to May 30 between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The city flushes all hydrants every spring and fall to check for proper operation of hydrants and proper pressure and flow. The flushing also removes sediment from the pipes to maintain water clarity and water quality in the distribution system.
PLEASE NOTE: Water discoloration may occur during flushing. This is normal. Your water is safe to drink during and after flushing. If discoloration occurs, run your cold water tap for a few minutes until the water runs clear. To prevent staining, avoid doing laundry during scheduled flushing times.
