WAUKESHA COUNTY PARTNERS WITH STEINHAFELS TO LAUNCH
NEW ADOPT-A-TRAIL PROGRAM ON NATIONAL TRAILS DAY

Public Adopt-A-Trail Clean-up Event to be held June 1st

(WAUKESHA, WI) – Waukesha County Parks and Steinhafels Furniture invite families, individuals, and groups to celebrate National Trails Day by participating in the first Adopt-A-Trail clean-up event on Saturday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the Lake Country Recreational Trail.

“Waukesha County is very proud of our recreational trails,”said Paul Farrow, Waukesha County Executive. “The new Adopt-A-Trail program
will allow residents, organizations and businesses, like Steinhafels, to helpclean and maintain the trails for all users.” 

Steinhafels is the first business to partner with Waukesha
County Parks to adopt a segment of trail through the new program. They will behosting a kick-off event in honor of National Trails Day. The public is
encouraged to join the celebration by volunteering to clean-up the trail onJune 1 at the Landsberg Center Trailhead, located at 2900 Golf Road in
Pewaukee. All materials will be provided and light refreshments will be served,while they last.

“Steinhafels is committed to sustainability and the
environment,” said Steph Graham, Steinhafels Public Relations Manager. “TheCounty’s Adopt-A-Trail program is a great opportunity for us to help improve
the very trails that we utilize right here in our community.”
