CELEBRATE AMERICA RECYCLES DAY WITH WAUKESHA COUNTY
The Statewide Celebration Starts November 1st and Runs Through November 15th

(WAUKESHA, WI) – Waukesha County invites residents to celebrate recycling
by taking part in the state and national ‘America Recycles Day’ campaigns.Starting November 1, residents can take advantage of free recycling facility
tours and online opportunities to learn about recycling. These events lead upto America Recycles Day on November 15.

“America Recycles Day is an
excellent opportunity to remind residents about the environmental and economicbenefits of recycling,” said Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow. “Waukesha
County residents are doing a fantastic job of conserving natural resources,while providing tax relief through their efforts to recycle the proper
materials in the proper way.”

Free Recycling FacilityTours

Two opportunities are
provided for individuals 10 years of age or older to tour the City of Milwaukee/WaukeshaCounty Materials Recovery Facility for free each month. The tours are the first
Tuesday of each month at noon and the third Thursday each month at 4:30 PM.Registration and closed-toe shoes are required for this hour-long, hard hat
tour of the facility. To register for a free tour, visit www.kgmb.org/tours-at-kgmb, click “Register Online” and select “Adult Classes”.

Starting November 1st,the Waukesha County Recycles Facebook page will take part in Wisconsin’s statewide
campaign for apartment complex residents and landlords by featuring recyclingtips each day leading up to November 15 and using the hashtag
#AmericaRecyclesDay. More information is available at www.recyclerightwisconsin.org.
