PARK AND RECREATION MONTH TO CELEBRATE WAUKESHA COUNTY PARK STAFF WITH PROCLAMATION
(Waukesha, WI) – Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow will proclaim Friday, July 17, 2020 as Park and Recreation Professionals Day in Waukesha County to commend the hard work and dedication of those professionals in our community. The proclamation coincides with National Park and Recreation Month celebrations throughout July.
“July is the perfect time to highlight all the benefits park and recreation professionals provide right here in Waukesha County,” said Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow. "We know that our local parks, beaches, golf courses, ice arenas and trails provide opportunities for physical activity and stress relief that is critical to the health of our community, especially this year, during the pandemic."
Park and Recreation Professionals Day honors the men and women who work tirelessly behind the scenes to provide the high-quality green spaces, programs and infrastructure we desire and expect in our parks and public spaces. These services are vital for our communities, and ensure that our parks and recreational spaces are clean, safe and well maintained for all visitors.
The Waukesha County Park System also encourages residents to send a thank you message to park and recreation professionals by participating in the “Thank a Park and Rec Pro Quest.” Residents can submit their messages at www.surveymonkey.com/r/ThanksPro.
