How long do I have to pay a parking ticket?
You have seven (7) days from the date of issuance to pay a Parking Citation fine. The fine doubles if not paid within seven (7) days. If still not paid witting fourteen (14) days the fine doubles again.

If the citation remains unpaid after twenty-eight (28) days, the violation is forwarded to the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles for registration suspension and refusal. Additional fines/penalties may apply. A suspended registration means it is illegal to operate the vehicle.

Example: Initial Fine $20
8-14 Days Late: $40
15-27 Days Late: $80
28 Days: Vehicle Registration Suspension & Refusal
