  • You have seven (7) days from the date of issuance to pay a Parking Citation fine. The fine doubles if not paid within seven (7) days. If still not paid witting fourteen (14) days the fine doubles again.
    If the citation remains unpaid after twenty-eight (28) days, the violation is forwarded to the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles for registration suspension and refusal. Additional fines/penalties may apply. A suspended registration means it is illegal to operate the vehicle.

  • When submitting a payment the parking ticket number is required to ensure the payment is applied properly. Payments can be made:
    IN PERSON AT THE POLICE SERVICES OFFICE: Office hours are Monday 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and Tuesday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., excluding holidays. Please note that Credit Card payments are not accepted.
    PAYMENT DROP BOX: You may utilize the Parking Citation Payment lock box 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is located in the substation lobby on the lower level of City Hall. Envelopes are provided.
    BY MAIL: For your convenience, your payments may be made by mail. Citation numbers must be noted on your check (please do not mail cash payments). If you would like a receipt mailed back to you, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Mail payment to: City of Pewaukee, ATTN: Police Services, W240N3065 Pewaukee Rd., Pewaukee, WI 53072.

  • Yes, the registered owner may contest the legality of the issuance of the ticket. A hearing may be obtained upon written request of the registered owner if submitted with supporting documentation to the Police Services Clerk. Please see the Police Services web page for more information.

  • Overpayment of a Parking Citation is applied to any unpaid parking fines for the same person/vehicle. Change will be provided for payments made by cash and in person. Please contact the Police Services Clerk at 262-691-0921 before making a payment if you do not know the amount of your fine.

  • City of Pewaukee § 6.05 states: “No person under the age of 18 shall loiter, stand, walk, stroll, run, bike drive, congregate or play upon or within public rights-of-way, railroads, parks, public lands or buildings, or places of commercial, industrial or institutional use or activity after 11 PM and before 6 AM unless accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or other adult having custody, care, and control of such minor person; or unless the minor person not under such control is working or traveling between home and work or between home and supervised school, church, or civic function.”

  • If you are in an accident you should call 9-1-1 for emergency assistance. For Non-emergency dispatch call 262-446-5070. Regarding Accident Reporting the Wisconsin DOT Department of Motor Vehicles advises: Any accident must be reported to law enforcement when it results in: * Injury or death of a person. * $1,000 or more total damage to property owned by any one person. * Damages of $200 or mort to government property (except motor vehicles).   • Yes. For accidents PRIOR to January 1, 2010, contact the City of Pewaukee Police Services clerk. Please see the Police Services page for more information on submitting a request for Public Records.
    For any accident occurring AFTER January 1, 2010, you must contact the Waukesha County Sheriff Department for a report at 262-548-7117.
