Takoma Hills Phase 1 is complete. Restoration continues, and to ensure germination, it will be verified in the spring of 2025.
The Contractor will return shortly to complete the re-installation of the mailboxes. Regarding the straw logs and the erosion matting installed within the right-of-way, please leave these items in place. They were installed to reduce erosion and promote grass growth. The Contractor will remove the straw logs when they are no longer required. The erosion mat is biodegradable and intended to remain in place until it decomposes. This should not be removed. Please Note: The contractor will not warranty these areas if the property owner removes the erosion mat or the straw logs.
A copy of the road rehabilitation plan set, the letter sent to affected residents, and the report showing the breakdown of costs are all available for viewing. These materials are also available at City Hall.
