We will do our best to have your permit processed as quickly as possible. | Please Note: Residential Remodel/Addition Projects require all permits to be processed and issued prior to any inspections (e.g. Building, Electric, Plumbing, and HVAC Permits). |

Building Permit Application Form
- Commonly Used For: New Homes, Additions, Remodels, Demos, Decks, Pools, Residing, Sheds, Reroofs, Etc.
Electric Permit Application Form
- Commonly Used For: New Homes, Additions, Remodels, New Services, Rewiring, Temporary Services, etc.
- Please Note: New cabinet kitchen projects will require countertop electrical outlet spacing to comply with current code. Cabinet refacing/countertop work only projects will not require updated countertop outlet spacing.

- Commonly Used For: Driveways, Fences, Patios, Sheds, and Accessory Buildings (Less than 120 sq. ft.).

If you do not receive a confirmation email within 2 business days, please call us to confirm it has been received. We cannot receive New Home Packets or large Commercial projects via email. These need to be dropped off in-person due to the printed plans required.

It can take up to a week for us to receive your application via mail. The processing time of 10 business days begins upon us receiving the application. Our office hours are Monday-Friday, 8 AM-4:30 PM.
Apply Online Through Our Online Permit Center
In order to submit an online permit, first-time users will need to establish an account in the BS&A Online Portal below and obtain a unique City PIN from the Building Services Department: 262-691-9107.
Please note that we do not accept the New Home Packet or Commercial Permit Applications online.

Once the permit has been submitted then processed (this can take up to 10 business days), you will be contacted with the fee amount and permit number. We accept payment via:

| Check: Please make your check out to "City of Pewaukee" | Online Portal: Via our Online Permit Payment Service. Please enter your permit number, then follow the steps to complete your payment. Transaction fees will apply and are non-refundable. |
Inspections Can Be Scheduled By Calling 262-691-9107.
Inspections are offered Tuesday-Friday, 12 -5 PM. We cannot guarantee set times but the inspector can call before arrival.
Please allow at least 48 hours notice for an inspection. No work may commence without having first obtained the permit. Work done without a permit may result in additional fees.
